To be honest I feared for MYDD once the primary wars were over. I thought it could descend from Bob Johnson's cesspool of hate into a vat of oblivion.
But it's been good to be here as unity takes over. I know we won't agree on everything, but this is still, by and large, a great community and an intimate scale. So well done MYDD for transforming itself for the next phase.
Meanwhile, rather like rounds of golf, there are still plenty of trolls around to squish. Or is that one troll with many aliases? Who knows? Who cares? They just warm us up for whatever pathetic smears the Republicans want to bring

But you're still one of the trolls who is regularly in need of a good squishing.
I differ with his pessimism late in life, but very many of his criticisms were spot-on.

Funny you should say that. George actually changed quite a bit in his later years and came off as bitter and a bit preachy. All that said I thank him for all the times he made me laugh and think at the same time. Amazing guy
Yes I was wondering what it would be like after the primaries and I too thought it would lack energy but in some ways it's gotten better.

One thing I've always liked about MyDD is the more intimate setting. It's harder to get to know people at DailyKos, but I've made quite a few friends here.
Yes and as you say we don't seem to be yelling as much at each other. We are starting to discuss which means we are more open to diverse views.

I was a little leery of coming back here at first, just after Hillary had endorsed Barack. I was afraid that total mayhem had taken over (I had left in May, during the height of the primary wars). But as I came back, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome back. And now, many of you that I used to argue with are now friends.
It's really great to be a part of this community again, and it's awesome that we're all working together now. :-)
It's true I think you have received quite a few unwelcome visits lately. Maybe it's because your Diaries are more popular. But for some reason I didn't notice as much in other diaries. Or maybe just more issue based diaries as you indicated balanced it out. Have a good week!
