as I've heard some of his supporters say that Obama is going to win Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, AHHAHAHAHAH reality is here.
he should have kept his mouth shut. this hurts Obama for November
any sane Obama supporter siad he had a chance in Oklahoma, maybe Kansas on a perfect storm, one or two CD's from NE is certainly obtainable.
But OK is firmly in John McCain's camp
Dude, this so utterly juvenile. Not everyone loves Obama- get used to it.
Boren has a very conservative district and is a smart guy- you don't survive in that deeply Republican country without knowing your electorate exactly. And professional politicians don't let personal opinions about candidates get in the way of business. If Boren thinks Obama is unendorseable in southeastern Oklahoma, it's probably the case.
There's a lot that came before Obama and a lot that will come after, and it's not all about you. And politics is not a good form of therapy, it's a cruel game of smart politicians surfing the waves of public opinion.
My rants are about those in the Democratic party leadership, of which Boren is a member (and a secure one at that). Anyone in the Democratic Party leadership who opposed Obama is an ASSHOLE, and I am going to keep an ASSHOLE watch on them.
If you think he's bad, you should have seen his father when he was Senator. A Ben Nelson clone. They grow Democrats funny in that part of the country.
Can't be as bad as the son in my book.
I could be wrong, but former Senator David Boren is a superdelegate who supported Obama.
here we have the vaunted obamakin outreach program at work, someone expresses lack of enthusiasm for obama and is called epithets.
powerful stuff this change. perhaps if elected the change movement can purge the party of all dissidents and conservatives.
obama had and has as much chance of carrying oklahoma as i do of sprouting wings and flying today, and this kind of vicious reaction just feeds disgust.
I really detest logging in here only to be confronted with obscenities. It's offensive and unnecessary. A reliance on them to make a point is indicative of not having much of any real value to say, and interestingly enough, the diary attached to your obscenity is all of 6 sentences long.
Are you insane, diarist?
I called you out for being factually incorrect in the other diary. As for this one?
Nobody gets to put a gun to anybody's head and says they have to endorse Obama. If a handful of Congresscritters need to avoid that for political reasons, suck it up and move on.
A scared friend is better than an implacable foe.
Obviously he has a spine and pricipled. According to your diary it is a safe seat so your implication is he should lie?
In the 1990s almost every Democrat in the South and West had to publicly distance himself from Bill Clinton. It's an old habit in the South especially, differentiating between the (insert state here) Democratic Party and the national Democratic Party. They do these because the GOP likes to tar them with Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton. They were prepared to do that this year with Hillary. It's interesting how far Southern Democrats have so distanced themselves from Obama.
spot on.
