As an Obama supporter, I try my very best to be objective. First, I do not excuse my candidate no matter the situation. For instance, some of the mailers sent out have been too negative and I do not condone their use. The Annie Oakley reference didn't sit well with me either. But overall, I'm satisfied with Senator Obama and his policies. He's the Junior Senator from my home state, so, I can even say that I have been satisfied with him as a public figure for quite some time.

Now onto this whole issue of who will win this nomination contest. Senator Obama should fight for it as though it's not yet his, because it isn't, but officially, the thing is over. The Clinton campaign likens this to a football game with 2 minutes to go, they say that we should let it play out. What they fail to mention is that they're down 4 touchdowns. No penalty, no safety, no fumble, or onside kick will give them a chance at the lead.

Now, I don't need an email from Obama asking for money for me to donate, but then again, if anything it's a good reminder. Emails from the Clinton campaign are also good reminders to donate to Obama

Today is the last day in April, so if you want your name in that FEC filing, better get right on it.

To make progress, we must rise above the partisanship and the issues that divide us to find common ground. We must move the country in a dramatically new direction.

I strongly believe Barack Obama is best positioned to lead the nation in that new direction.

She shan't receive my support in any future contest, be it this presidential run (should she secure the nomination) or any other.

We can all pretend to be mere participants in this "civil" discourse, and claim that whoever the nominee might be we will support him or her. Not I.

Being a reasonable fellow (mostly), I won't write off Senator Clinton without giving her an in back into this relationship. It's fairly simple, apologize and repent, or lose my support:

The campaign, to date, owes Senator Clinton $10,879.89 in interest on the $5,000,000 loan (at a rate of 1.26%)

Amount: $4,577,820.61

A short diary to direct your attention to a very (urgently) important report about the state of our troops and veterans from a health and wellness point of view. This, in my humble opinion, should be the number one issue today, tomorrow, and during this campaign. It should remain as the number one issue in the general election and beyond.

Assuming that the prevalence found in this study is representative of the 1.64 million servicemembers who had been deployed for OEF/OIF as of October 2007, we estimate that approximately 300,000 individuals currently suffer from PTSD or major depression and that 320,000 individuals experienced a probable TBI during deployment.

300,000! I don't hear Hannity discuss this much, or the MSM. We're too worried about ABC's game-show of a debate, and Obama and Clinton's feelings and gaffes. Please spend some time at least reading the summary of the report (PDF), then act whichever way you can to do something about this: contact your representative, your senator, the news media, anyone!
